Pretty sure cooking prosciutto would get you deported from Italy don't get the prosciutto Benedict special it's like a ham sandwich with eggs. All that time and effort curing the ham wasted. If you wanted your ham cooked why wouldn't you just get a regular eggs Benedict on an English muffin? Makes no sense at all. Should have gone with the smoked salmon. But i was told that the other dishes were good. Maybe it's not a crime worthy of minus two stars but as an enthusiast of both eggs Benedict and prosciutto...... Typically as separate dishes..... And of partly Italian descent..... It really offended my sensibilities
This place is amazing their omelets are huge!!!
Such a nice and cozy place for breakfast. Excellent service, great food, eclectic interior. Happy we stopped by, will definitely come back.
Great place. Light, crepe-like panckaes. The Beach Bun sandwich was delicious. Wife and I split the homefries. Whimsical decor. Attentive staff.
Overall the food was good. I liked the stuffed french toast.
Terrible food, service sucks, they have no idea how to make eggs Benedict and home fries are terrible. .never again
Food is amazing
Breakfast Brian's Tacos are the bomb
Best breakfast joint in Montauk
They hosted us after out sunrise wedding 3 years ago and were amazing. We come back every year.
Food is okay. Servers are nice but not much help (don't expect exactly what you ordered).
The food here is great, I think I ordered the wrong dish for myself, but my father loved his. Our waiter was a little bit slow. And the food is expensive.
Average explains it all,Food just okay..... Service a bit slow and inattentive. Not the worst, always room for improvement...
Inviting atmosphere but disappointingly terrible food. People are friendly, but did I say how bad the food was?
Really great food, service and atmosphere! We will be stopping in again!
It was closed and I don’t know why it says open on google map
Had breakfast here on a trip last summer with family. Very charming, quaint little place! The decor is great, especially the giant bird statue on the roof (hence the name of the restaurant!). They have quite a variety of food on their menu, especially the pancakes which were among the best I've ever tasted (I had the blueberry ones). Light and flavorful and not too dough-y/too filling like some pancakes can be. Staff was friendly and accommodating, and we loved looking around in the little gift shop - even bought a couple of t-shirts to remember it by! Definitely coming back here the next time we're in Montauk.
The place is cramped, but the staff is friendly and the selections are very good. Liked it.
Terrible service, medicore food and way overpriced.
Awesome. As always
Great staff and even better food! They have both indoor and outdoor covered seating along with a gift/apparel shop in the front. The menu also has terrific options at very reasonable prices.
Great family owned place! We have been coming to the Bird for 20 plus years. The food is always the best by far! You feel like part of the family when ever you are there. If you get a chance, my personal favorite is the poached eggs on corn bread smothered in country sausage gravy, taste like a dessert! You will not be disappointed!
Had the prosciutto benedict. It was delicious, the service was great as well. Friendly staff.
Excellent food in a cute environment. Highly recommended.
Cute place food nothing special...
Good breakfast and friendly owners
Really cool local joint that feels miles away from the scene-sters and priced up joints along the main drag in Montauk and feel a like a real beach town restaurant. The specials board is huge. I had the smoke salmon Benedict. It was fantastic. My partner had the Canadian bacon Benedict. Got the sauce on the side for both as they do smother it if you don't. But both dishes were great. Bottomless coffee and cheap prices with friendly service. A really good escape from the middle/upper class trash that is hitting Montauk
Friendly staff and owners. Love the ambiance. Bird on the Roof has become our breakfast destination every time we stay in Montauk. I wish there was vegan options.
If you want water or drink with your meal good luck - hair in your uncooked food is included
Very varied breakfast menu with lots of daily specials! All are great! Atmosphere is eclectic beach with a very friendly wait staff ! It is one of our favorite breakfast haunts
The best breakfast in Town
Friendly and efficient service. Great menu selections, something for everyone, and all very delicious!
Reasonably priced for montauk with many options and specials. However they don’t accept credit card tip and then they said their credit card machine was broken so we had to get cash from the bank. The bathrooms say out of order when they really aren’t. It’s 100% necessary to have a working bathroom in a restaurant as per health department regulations.
Typical Montauk eatery where you will pay prices high than you'd pay in Manhattan. $12+ for an egg white omelette is a bit much if you ask me. Add sides and next thing you know you've just spent $40 plus tip for breakfast for 2 people. No bells or whistles. Outdoor seating is under a tarp adjacent to the parking spaces.
Slow service an steep prices for food that is mediocre at best.
Excellent food, terrific service. We've been enjoying breakfast here when on vacation for the last 18 years.
Friendly service. Best pancakes anywhere!
The best breakfast and lunch spot in Montauk
If you’re looking for perfect poached eggs and the most delicious breakfast potatoes ever, come here. I was, otherwise, pretty much ignored as a single female traveler and 100% bad attitude at the register. For the same amount of money you can go to naturally good café and your breakfast would be organic, you wouldn’t have to worry about the cash-only tipping, though you won’t get these potatoes!
Great food, nice prices, cute little boutique to do some shopping when you're done with your food. Really happy I stopped in to eat here. Terrence was a great server. Highly recommend! :)
If you want an amazing omelette do not go here. Came with my wife. My omelette was completely over cooked and dry. The staff were nice but the food quality was awful. We didn’t even eat a quarter of our plates it was so bad.
Went with a party of 5 for breakfast. We all ordered different dishes and everyone was pleased with their decision. I had a small OJ (freshly squeezed complete with seeds to prove it, so good) and one of the specials (Brian's tacos) which was yummy and filling. You get three full tacos. Others ordered the huevos rancheros, the farmers omelette, the avocado toast and the fritatta with tomato, bacon and cheddar (they subbed in for mozzarella). If it weren't for the slow service I would have given this place 5 stars. We were seated right away but the wait for food took quite a while. We were brought a muffin to hold us over due to the wait for our food, which I thought was a nice gesture.
Party of 9. Everything was great
Generous portions, had breakfast here this morning and it's 2:30pm and I'm still not hungry again. Quick service, friendly staff. Big specials menu. OJ was excellent.
Place was closed at normal business hours. Seems to be open only on weekends
The service was not very friendly and the food cost way to much for simple and cheapness.. My ham tasted like spam and my eggs didn't taste very well either.. The coffee was OK dennys coffee lol. But my toast was great hahah. $13 for a couple eggs, toast, spam ham and coffee.. I should have eaten at the 7-Eleven lol
Absolutely adorable place to shop. Found the cutest dresses and jewelry
Hmmmm? Ok. The place was recommended by locals and we liked the look. The atmosphere is neat and the place was packed. Figured we'd made a good choice. Then it all went downhill!! Took forever to be served coffee and juice, the table that came well after us was were asked to order long before us. When we did get coffer it was like a drive by, (here bye) then we did order, only to be told we couldn't get my original order because they were out. Then trying to get coffee refills was almost nonexistent. Our food came out wrong, my wife's order was totally screwed up and had to be rushed, I was missing food I'd ordered. The food honestly wasn't very good at all. My order was cold. They took off a couple of items to (make up for their mistakes) don't order the pancakes either, unless you like pancakes that are things and flat like crape's! Very disappointed
Great selection of specials and friendly staff! One our favorite breakfast spots in Montauk.
This was unfortunate. The ambiance of this place is inviting but after having the food I’d actually call it deceiving. Given all of the staff, the service should have been a 10 but it was a 2. The meat in the country omelet was uncooked (like they didn’t cook it separately first and just threw it in the eggs - gross). 5 bucks for 2 cups of mediocre coffee and 10 for an uncooked omelet. Overpriced and uncooked. Wouldn’t recommend.
